    Detailed Product Description

EN10219-1 EN10219-2  Cold Formed Welded Structural Hollow Sections of Non-Alloy and Fine Grain Steels

    Part 1: Technical delivery condition

Part 2: Tolerances, Dimensions and Sectional Properties

    Structural hollow section manufacturing process:

Structural hollow sections are manufactured by electric weding or submerged arc welding without subsequent heat treatment. Hollow sections manufactured by a continuous process shall not inlude the welds used to join the lengths of strip prior to formning the hollow section, except that for hlically welded submerged arc-welded (SAW) hollow sections, such welds shall be permitted when tested in accordance with 9.4.3.0 EN10219-1, EN10291-2.

    Delivery conditions:

The hollow sections are delivered cold formed without subsequent heat treatment except that weld seam maybe in the as welded or heat treated condition

NOTE:  For SAW hollow sections above 508 mm outside diameter it may be necessary to perform a warm shaping operation, which does not affect the mechanical properties, in order to meet the out-of-roundness tolerance requirements.

    Suitability for hot dip galvaninzation:

The products are sutibale for hot dip galvanization.
